Another glorious morning in my southern paradise today. After a quick walk to the shops for milk & bread I waddled off for stroll along the shoreline. As I was collecting a few windfall treasures to come home and do a spot of Eco-printing and dyeing, what should I spy but 'windfall gold'. I came across a large piece of log/driftwood. I'm sure it wasn't there yesterday. It has obviously been floating around for a very long time as it is quite rotted but this is to my advantage I think. I scooped out great handfulls of the heartwood which was lovely soft and spongey, enough to fill a shopping bag. As nature has already done a fabulous job of pulping the woody fibres I'm going to try making some paper from it.
Now to scrounge round and see what I can find in the cottage to fashion into paper making tools. I'll let you know how I get on....
