Binoculars Binoculars, my kingdom for a pair of Binoculars!

My most massive regret is not packing the 'binoculars' !!!!!
Poo!
Everyday I want to look more closely at the bird life and scenery and rue my stupidly for not packing them. For goodness sake there are Albatross swooping past, when will I see them again! I have tried to buy some locally (I'm only on foot) or even hire some from the community centre but none to be found as yet :( If any of my pals out there has a lightweight pair they could loan and post to me I would be eternally grateful (cue soppy music and large pleading eyes). I will pay for express postage????
Anyhooooo my impatience got the better of me and I opened one of my Eco-print parcels this morning. I picked the bundle in which I had used only seaweed as I wasn't really expecting anything of great worth to develop due to the really delicate fibre tissue of the seaweeds used. I got rather a pleasant surprise (pics below). Not much developed on the habutae silk but the wool/cashmere blend gave up some good marks. Being a soft camel shade to begin with doesn't help the clarity of the print but it was the lightest colored thin wool suiting I could find in Bunbury before I left.
Also find a pic below of my first sheet of driftwood paper. The wood fibres can't be pulped enough with my makeshift 'blender' to make a very strong paper so I've added some scrap silk threads and a bit of mulberry silk fibres to the mix. An idea for today's experiments might be to try Eco-printing onto the paper??? Hmmmm...
